T3 03/10

He Said...

Our Typhoon warning has elevated, we pissed and moaned about the closet to the management as well as the impromptu early morning bedroom shower from the over condensed air conditioner and managed to bag a proper room at a discounted rate, this one even has a real window!
Outside is still threatening, muggy and gloomy, so we decide to do what we always do in inclement weather...find a bar.
Ais recommends 'Pawn', as the name suggests a former Pawn Shop now bar/ restaurant in HK, we arrive in time for happy hour and sit eating fish/chips, devilled whitebait, pigs ears and Devils on Horseback, washed down with 2 for 1 beers and wines while we plot our next moves.
The rain starts to fall as we watch the double decker trams getting the 'just finished' home or to the nearest bar, Ais spots a red light district in the 'Pawn' brochure so we decide to head downtown for some titillation.
The titillation is just as seedy as anticipated and whilst it sounded like fun, the fun element soon wore of once we saw the venue and the ' love you long times' parading outside. But top marks for me for having a girlfriend who wants to go to the dollar ballet, box ticked!!
We headed back to Kowloon and grabbed a bite to eat street side to watch the evenings mayhem unravel.
If they raise the T warning tomorrow it will be to a level 8' somehow I figure we will know that before we get up.
