Rots of Lain 10/10

He Said...

This weeks blog will pretty much be...
got up late/ laid in sun/ ate/ drank / slept
it may be interrupted with an island tour or a full moon party or two but the general premise of this week is to chill, so....
Got up late but not too late, enough time to catch some morning rays before the sun disappears behind the roof line, we planned a trip into the local town Chaweng this afternoon just for a look see.

Chewing is basically a strip along the beach where alot of the package hotels are based as well as the main stand alone restaurants and bars, from Tropical Murphy's (can't escape the Irish) to the contemporary 'Library' hotel and restaurant with it's blood red pool, it was here we took advantage of Happy hour drinks ( more Lychee Martini's- are you listening Di Vino??It's the new Espresso Martini!!)

So where else would you find another Grenadian than on Chaweng strip, Koh Samui, Thailand, yep.... We did...picture below!

We found a CD/DVD store and bought the latest releases, all original not ripped, honest and then met up with the GM, Alan to reciprocate his dinner last night.

We ate at 'Ad Hoc' a place recommended by my B.F.A.M Kristen Whyly. (big up) it was an Italian eatery in Thailand, owned by a Japanese lady and food was great, we watched a storm and lightening show threaten our al fresco meal but decided much to the peturbment of the wait staff, who were promising "Rots of Lain", that the lain was falling elsewhere, we prevailed and enjoyed a great dinner overlooking the East coast of Samui and Koh Panang island. Home by 10 and dived into our new DVD collection, the Stieg Laarson trilogy!

We have booked a trip tomorrow to the National Marine Park of Angthong ( the setting for A.Garland's book and film "The Beach"( that one with Leo)
